Political protests hurting ThailandPAD Leaders in the Picture. The childish actions of the People’s Alliance for Democracy PAD are getting worse by the day. The leaders of the protests are acting in a very unconstitutional way; they are trying to force the government from power by nothing more than bullying tactics. Of course the people of Thailand will get sick of the actions of both parties and this will then result in no confidence vote and another election, what the PAD wants.

The PAD have a right to protest in a proper matter, not camping out on the street in front of government house bringing traffic and business to a standstill. These supposedly well educated people should use the correct passages to solve this problem, in the parliament or through the courts of law. I do not support either party and if I could vote, I wouldn’t cast a vote for anyone associated with either party.
I cannot believe the government has been so forgiving to the protesters. There has to come a point when enough is enough and the government uses “necessary force” being water canons, riot police or even the army to rid the public streets of the PAD supporters. The shenanigans have to be stopped. It is great for foreign currencies as they have all been climbing in the wake of the political circus.

How can the PAD justify these protests? The government is only 4 months into its term of power; it hasn’t really had a chance to settle in yet. The protests have been going on for a month now, I am sure that the PAD wouldn’t have done a better job than the People Power Party PPP.

They accuse the Thai Prime Minister Samak of being a puppet for the ousted former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra. Even if this is the case, the PAD need to swallow their pride as the people of Thailand, the whole country voted for the current government not the spoilt brats who are now crying as they couldn’t make the numbers to rule the country.

They are saying it is for democracy and the good of the country, well they don’t seem to be too democratic or doing any good for the image of Thailand.

The Anti-government protesters are now planning to besiege the Parliament to prevent it passing the budget bill and cripple its attempts to administer the country, a People Power Party MP said Monday.

A member of a PPP group monitoring the anti-government protests said if the protesters were successful; the government would have to take action as it meant the PAD was trying to topple it.

“The PAD’s demand now is to seek a new political system and reject the parliamentary system. Doing so would return the country to the dark ages as well as cause severe confrontations,” he said.

I cannot agree more, the political system would go back so many steps if this happens, and confrontations would be guaranteed.

The PPP MP said he would file a complaint with police after a Democrat MP publicised his telephone number so that antigovernment protesters could call him.
His daughter, a primary school pupil, was also threatened.

This is how immature and foolish these people are being! publicising a person’s private phone number to a mob of angry people. This has so many wrongs attached to it, and the Democrat MP should be sanctioned and even suspended for his moronic actions. His daughter being threatened is just pathetic.

In a related development, The House Speaker said yesterday he believed two days would be sufficient for the censure debate. Voting will take place on Thursday morning.

I can see the peaceful protest turning nasty very soon unless something gives, I am happy I am no where near Bangkok as I am sure tensions arte running high with people’s patience running out. I hope for the good of the country that the most respected man in Thailand offers the two warring parties some advice, HM the King of Thailand would be the only person either side would listen to at this time.
